The premise for project “Replimune” was quite interesting: a documentary-type film showing the action of the medicine, that helps fighting cancer inside the human body under a microscopic perspective. In partnership with Broth Agency, it was possible to create this in animation format. Replimune’s approach combines multiple mechanisms of action to destroy the tumor, ignite an anti-cancer response, and generate long-lived immune activity. The ultimate aim of this medicine is to improve outcomes for patients with cancer. And the objective of our animation was to demonstrate this with safety and confidence in how the process works. “The project was developed using procedural techniques counting mostly with geometry and animation nodes as the main tool. From concept to finalization with a David Attenborough-style narration, Replimune was a project of challenging visual complexity that brought a lot of learning to the team”, says the Project’s Director, Ramon Lima.
